Originally from North London where his family had 3 shops, John West arrived in Sway in the hot summer of 1976. His son David joined the business as a partner in 1980, then becoming Sole Proprietor in 1995 on John’s retirement. As well as providing their customers with excellent traditional cuts
of meat over the generations, the Family have been making premium quality
sausages for over 150 years, an achievement of which they are particularly
proud. Their high standards are reflected in the number of awards they
have won, ie Hampshire Supreme Champion and National Award Winner are
just two awards that have been held.
They are not only available from the Sway Shop, but also from other shops, restaurants, cafes & pubs in the New Forest area. The business now employs 6 people making over 1000lbs of tasty bangers a week!
